Welcome to joannagash.com.au
When I was elected in 1996, my primary goal was to work hard for the people who had shown faith in my abilities by choosing me to represent them in the Federal Parliament.
In the time since, nothing has changed and I will continue to work hard for the people of Gilmore and to do everything in my power to help deliver the facilities and services that our community needs for future growth.
We have had a lot of success over the years but there is still plenty to be done.
Now, more than ever, I am determined to make sure the voice of the people of Gilmore is heard - loud and clear, and I remain absolutely committed to 'Getting the Job Done!'

LABOR CANCELS THE CHRONIC DISEASE DENTAL SCHEME
Over the years, many Gilmore residents have been very supportive in telling me to retain existing dental services for local residents – and this is a fight I have taken to both sides of Government.
However, now that the Gillard Labor Government has abolished the Chronic Disease Dental Scheme, a scheme which offered up to $4,250 of dental work for those who could least afford it, there is nothing in our community that can fill the gap.
Here is a copy of the speech I recently made in Federal Parliament on this issue, and I assure you that we will not stop in making the Government see just how badly our residents will suffer from their decisions.
